The newly renovated Hiram Day Mansion is located at 441 Franklin Street in historic Allentown. The mansion was constructed in 1870, the guilded age, for Cyrus L. Gorton and was designed in the Second Empire Style. It features a highly vertical mansard roof with arched windows and a tower on the northwest façade. The third story of the mansion features wide eaves and ornamental brackets beneath. Also adding to the beauty of the mansion is artistic wood hood moldings highlighting the large arched windows on the second floor. Once inside, the main entrance leads to an entry hall featuring an elliptical staircase and a carved octagonal newel post.
