Oak School Loft Apartments was developed by Rocco Termini and Signature Development. The $5 million project houses 29 apartments and 8,000 square feet of commercial space. Each unit features a plasma screen television, fireplaces, hardwood floors and granite counter tops. The bedroom is both separated and connected to the living space by floor-to-ceiling frosted sliding glass doors, which allows a fluid space arrangement and gives the apartment an airy feel. Rent for the one-bedroom units starts at $750 with 4 units to be reserved for moderate income renters at $450. There is also a mix of two bedroom and two level lofts in the building. Due to the historic designation of the building, significant effort was taken to preserve original architectural elements, including bookcases that were built into the classrooms. Another interesting element of the building is that it features a City Seal on the front façade because it was originally built as a City School.
