The Center is the area's leading provider of comprehensive services for vision-impaired people of all ages. The Olmsted Center has grown from a single building to a remarkable state-of-the-art campus with programs and services that have changed the lives of thousands in Western New York and across the country. Plans for the future include a nationally innovative collaboration with the Department of Ophthalmology of the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Olmsted offers a range of services including preschool, orientation and mobility, housing and diagnosis of sight problems.
