Place Rangers operate in partnership with the Buffalo
Place Foundation, the Buffalo Police Department, The
Niagara Frontier Transit Authority Police, Buffalo
Civic Auto Ramps
and the
Downtown community to
enhance existing efforts
for a more secure, attractive, user-friendly Downtown environment. This initiative puts additional "eyes and ears" on the street to assist in identifying criminal activity as well as public safety and customer service concerns.
* If you would like Ranger posters to display or brochures for your employees, please call the Rangers at 854-RIDE
What can the Rangers do for you?
- The Rangers offer after-hour workers in Downtown assistance to their vehicles, train stations or bus stops.
- The Rangers are on hand to answer questions and give directions to Downtown restaurants, theatres, entertainment venues, parking and building locations.
- The Rangers also provide a more secure Downtown area and their highly visible uniforms allow the public to easily identify them. All major office buildings are tied into the "SecureNet" Radio system. If you are in need of an escort, you can call your building's security desk to request a Ranger.
