The Buffalo Place Security Committee, which meets
at Buffalo Place on the second Tuesday of every
month at 8:30 a.m.,
is made up
of the Buffalo Police,
the NFTA Police,
Building
Owners/Managers, Private
Security and Federal Law
Enforcement Officers.
Buffalo Place operates the
SecureNet Radio System,
in which 25 Downtown
locations are connected.
Buffalo Place Security also
compiles crime statistics
and analysis for the Buffalo
Place District with
information from the Buffalo Police
Department. The
Buffalo Place Rangers act
as "eyes and ears" for the
Buffalo Police and the
NFTA
Police. They strive
to
improve the daily safety
of
Downtown streets,
parking ramps and lots for
Downtown employees,
residents and visitors. The
program operates in
partnership with the Buffalo
Police Department, the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority Police,
Buffalo Civic Auto Ramps and the Downtown community to enhance existing efforts to create a more secure, attractive and user-friendly Downtown environment.
