Public Schools: The Buffalo Public Schools of Choice process allows parents the opportunity to make school selections from all Buffalo Public Schools. What this means is that students are allowed to attend any school in the City of Buffalo system, regardless of location. Exceptions are for any school that has an entrance exam or selection process. For more information contact the Buffalo Board of Education at www.buffaloschools.org/ or call 716/851-3500.
Charter Schools: Tuition free, like a public school but with local control and decision making, charter schools are an alternative for parents looking for a quality public education. There are a number of charter schools in and around the City of Buffalo. Most schools have a random selection admissions policy. Many of the schools have websites for additional information or you can visit www.newyorkcharters.org/charterny/schoolprofiles.asp.
Private Schools: Another option for parents is private schools. Many of the schools are affiliated with a religion but there are also secular private schools. For additional information click here or contact the school of your choice.
