- JJ Grey & Mofro are JJ Grey (vocals, guitar, harmonica and keyboards), Daryl Hance (guitar), Art Edmaiston (saxophone), Dennis Marion (trumpet), Andrew Trube (bass), Anthony Cole (drums) and Anthony Farrell (organ).
- JJ Grey & Mofro is a soul and southern rock band from Jacksonville, Florida.  Their music varies from raw bluesy funk to raucous rhythm and blues.  The band delivers brilliant musicianship, which results in a sound that is rhythmically dynamic and texturally mesmerizing. 
- Grey and Hance met while working together at an air conditioning company.  Hance joined Grey’s band, which was called Mofro, and they recorded a demo together.  The band singed with Fog City Records and recorded Blackwater in 2001.  Blackwater was named by Amazon.com as one of the best CD’s of the decade. 
- Mofro cultivated a rabid following through hard work and touring.  With Fog City Records, the band released and recorded Lochloosa in 2004.  
- With their ever growing success, the band has opened for Ben Harper, Widespread Panic, Galactic, B.B. King and Jeff Beck.  They have also played at prestigious festivals such as Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits Festival and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.  
- In 2007, Mofro signed with Alligator Records and released the album Country Ghetto.  They also began performing under the name JJ Grey & Mofro at the time of that release.  They toured the United States extensively to promote the album. 
- Country Ghetto received regular rotation on nearly 100 stations and featured on hundreds more.  The band toured constantly and played over 120 dates throughout the United States and Europe.
- J.J. Grey and Mofroreleased Orange Blossoms in 2008.  The album reached #5 on Amazon’s Rock Record of 2008 chart and #44 of the Best of 2008: Top Editor’s Picks. 
- During the summer of 2009 the band performed at festivals in the United Sates including Outsides Lands in San Francisco and Folks Festival in Lyons, Colorado.
- J.J. Grey and Mofro is currently touring and performing at summer festivals including two shows at Wakarusa.
