Los Lobos
- Los Lobos are Steve Berlin (saxophones, percussion, flute, midisax, harmonica and melodica), Louie Perez (drums, guitars, percussion and vocals), David Hidalgo (vocals, guitars, accordion, percussion, bass, keyboards, melodica, drums, violin and banjo), Conrad Lozano (bass, guitarron, vocals) and Cesar Rosas (vocals, guitars and mandolin). 
- Los Lobos are an American Chicano rock band.  They have won three Grammy Awards.  Their music is influenced by rock and roll, Tex-Mex, country, folk, R&B, blues and traditional Spanish and Mexican music. 
- Los Lobos first major label release was in 1984 and titled How Will the Wolf Survive?  The album was ranked #30 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 Great Albums of the 1980’s. 
- In 1987, Los Lobos recorded some Ritchie Valens covers for the soundtrack to the film La Bamba, including the title tract.  The single for Los Lobos became #1 on Billboards Hot Modern Rock Tracks. 
- In the late 1980’s and early 1990’s the band toured extensively throughout the world opening for such acts as Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead.
- The 1995 release of Papa’s Dream became a bestselling album.  The track “Mariachi Suite” won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance. 
- In 1999, Los Lobos signed to Hollywood Records and released the album This Time. 
- In 2002, after signing with Mammoth Records, Los Lobos released Good Morning Aztlan. 
- The Ride, which was released in 2004, featured artist such as Tom Waits, Mavis Staples, Bobby Womack and Elvis Costello.  Also in 2004, Los Lobos released their first full-length live-show DVD, Live at the Fillmore.  The Town and the City, which was released in 2006, also received a strong critical reception.
- In the summer of 2008, Los Lobos and Los Lonely Boys hit the road together on the nationally acclaimed Brotherhood Tour.
- In 2010, Cesar Rojas and David Hidalgo were featured artists on the fourth edition of the Experience Hendrix Tour, a biennial concert tour paying homage to the music and legacy of Jimi Hendrix.
- Los Lobos will release their brand new studio album, Tin Can Trust, on August 3, 2010.  The album is the outfit’s first release in four years and features original material that highlights the magical sound that the band is famous for.
-    Seven songs on Tin Can Trust are Hidalgo-Pérez collaborations, including the opening track “I’ll Burn It Down,” which features a guest vocal harmony from Susan Tedeschi.  Three other songs were written by Rosas including the album’s two Spanish-language numbers: the cumbia “Yo Canto” and the norteño “Mujer Ingrata.”  The new album is the perfect display of the bands signature seamless infusion of Mexican folk songs into rock music.
